Six quotes by Confucius

Kong Fuzi (Chinese: 孔夫子), more usually Kongzi (孔子; lit. 'Master Kǒng', c. 551 – c. 479 BCE), commonly latinized as Confucius, was a Chinese philosopher of the Spring and Autumn period who is traditionally considered the paragon of Chinese sages. Confucius's teachings and philosophy underpin East Asian culture and society, and remain influential across China and East Asia to this day. His philosophical teachings, called Confucianism, emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice, kindness, and sincerity, as well as an emphasis on a ruler's duty to their subjects.
Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.
The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.
名不正,則言不順
The superior man understands what is right; the inferior man understands what will sell.
To know that we know what we know, and that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowledge.
To study and not think is a waste. To think and not study is dangerous.
學而不思則罔,思而不學則殆。
When a country is well governed, poverty and a mean condition are things to be ashamed of. When a country is ill governed, riches and honour are things to be ashamed of.
邦有道貧且賤焉恥也,邦無道富且貴焉恥也。
